Who I Am

I grew up in Pasadena and graduated from St. Francis High School. Prior to graduating from college, I took a leave from school to serve for two years as a missionary in northeastern Brazil. That experience changed my life. I consider myself very fortunate to have married the girl of my dreams while we were both in college. Jane and I have now been married for almost three decades and have been blessed to raise six talented and kind children.

Why I Chose this Profession

After finishing undergraduate and graduate school at Brigham Young University with degrees in accounting and taxation, I began my career as a traditional CPA specializing in tax at an international CPA firm in Los Angeles. As much as I love the technical and challenging aspects of taxation and finance, I’ve found the most satisfaction in applying those skills to help people make wise choices with regards to their personal finances. When people don’t know who to talk to or who to trust and then rely upon me for help and guidance, I feel like I’m doing a part of what I was placed on this earth to do – to use the skills and interests that I have been blessed with to be someone they can rely upon and trust in one of the most important and impactful aspects of their lives.

My work at CWM is focused on delivering upon the financial stewardship expectations my clients have placed upon me to help them navigate their retirement planning, taxes, investments, insurance and estate planning concerns in a comprehensive way.
